Why is it so hard sometimes to actually do something positive? And how might we get beyond that?

  • “It’s too huge! Where to start?!” I encourage you to narrow down the topic to one or perhaps two areas that really interest and energize you. Then find others with similar interests if possible, roll up your sleeves and get to work! But remember also to take time to rest and to do things that take good care of you. See the LINK below, POSSIBLE BENEFICIAL ACTIONS, for a wide host of possible areas. You don’t have to do the ones that get you down. Odds are good that someone else will find them exciting and energizing.
  • “It’s hopeless…” Most of us probably will not live long enough to know the answer to this statement. However, I think that worrying about outcomes is not our job. Our job is to move through whatever is getting in our way and to discover and do whatever is calling us to do. It could be hopeless if many of us used that statement to do nothing. I have found it helpful to think about how future generations look back on us at this historical moment. I want them to know that many, many of us have cared deeply about them and done all we could to improve things for them.
  • “I feel isolated, alone. Almost nobody else seems to be caring much. Why should I?” The good news here is that so many people currently are waking up and finding that they care! It’s an excellent time to find out who all is on TEAM EARTH and reach out to the ones that you want to listen to and/or work with.
